Chatingly safety · rules and reports

Chatingly house rules, and what happens when they break.

The night is more fun when everybody can relax. These are the rules Chatingly enforces, how reporting works, and how to appeal if a decision went against you.

Eighteen and over, with no exceptions

Everything else on this page rests on one rule: Chatingly is for adults. Anyone under 18 has no place in a random match, a private call or a live room, and an account that looks underage is removed rather than warned. The same goes for adults who invite a minor on camera or pass the phone to one.

If a match looks too young to be here, you do not need proof before acting. Press report while the session is still open, then press next. Moderators would rather check a report that turns out to be wrong than miss one that was right.

/ 02

The lines that get an account removed

Chatingly keeps its rules short so nobody can claim they missed them. These are the ones moderators treat as serious:

  • Being under 18, or pretending to be.
  • Flashing nudity or sexual acts at a person who never agreed to it.
  • Harassment, hate speech and threats, including after someone has skipped you.
  • Recording or screenshotting people to shame, threaten or blackmail them.
  • Begging for cash, gift cards, crypto or banking info.
  • Spam, advertising, fake profiles and automated accounts.

/ 03

Smaller things that still earn a warning

Not every problem is dramatic. Moderators also act on the steady, low-grade behaviour that spoils a night for other people: pushing someone to turn a camera on after they chose voice or text, repeating the same crude line to every match, pasting links to other sites, or pretending to be a different person to win gifts. A first report of this kind usually ends in a warning; a pattern ends in restrictions.

The simplest test is whether the other person gets to say no. Chatingly is built on choice, from the mode you pick to the next button that ends a match. Anyone who tries to take that choice away from somebody else is breaking the spirit of the rules even when no single line is named above.

/ 04

How the report button works

There is a report button inside every random match, every private call and every live room. Pressing it sends that session to Chatingly’s moderators with enough context for them to judge what happened. You do not need to write an essay or stay in the conversation; report and then press next.

Reports are reviewed by people. Depending on what they find, an account can be warned, have features restricted, or be removed. Where someone appears to be in danger, information may be passed to the relevant authorities.

The person you reported is not told who flagged them. Random matching also makes it unlikely you will meet them again straight away, since the queue simply moves on to other people. If you do cross paths with the same account later and the behaviour repeats, report it again: repeated flags help moderators see a pattern.

Coins stay in your account, never in a stranger’s hands

Coins on Chatingly are used for a short list of things: extra random matches after the free ones run out, private one-to-one calls, gifts for the person you are calling or watching, and rooms with a ticket at the door. All of it happens inside the app. Nobody on Chatingly needs your card number, a bank transfer or a gift card code, and a match who asks for one is running a scam.

The app itself is careful with your balance. A call that costs coins will not start silently; if your balance is short you are asked to top up first. Sending a gift brings up a confirmation before anything leaves your account, so a stray tap in a busy live room does not cost you.

  • Only buy coins from the top-up screen inside Chatingly.
  • Ignore anyone offering cheap coins, a coin generator or a free coins hack; those offers are scams.
  • Never share your login, and never send money to a match for any reason, however sad the story.

/ 06

The same rules, even when a crowd is watching

Live rooms feel different from a one-to-one match because many people can watch and type at once, but the rulebook does not change. Every room has its own report button. Abusive chat lines, spam and pressure on the person streaming are all reportable, and so is anyone using the chat to steer people toward outside payment.

Certain rooms only open after a ticket purchase, a follow, or with a paid account. Those entry rules are set inside Chatingly and paid with coins, never with a transfer arranged in the chat. When you ask for a private call from a room, it runs on the same terms as any other private call: coins, a clear start, and report and hang-up within reach.

/ 07

The part no moderator can do for you

Moderation reacts to what is reported; it cannot pre-screen every live moment. That is why your own habits matter just as much: keep identifying details off camera and out of the chat, never pay a stranger, and leave the moment something feels wrong. The reasoning behind each habit is on is Chatingly safe.

A few practical checks go a long way. Look at what sits behind you before you switch to video: mail on the table, a uniform on the chair, a view from the window. Pick a nickname that is not the one you use everywhere else. Keep chats inside Chatingly until you genuinely trust someone, because the report button stops working the moment a conversation moves elsewhere.

Night noteThreatened with a leaked recording? Refuse to pay, refuse to bargain, report the account, screenshot the message and go quiet.

If you think a decision was wrong

Mistakes happen. Think a restriction on your account was unfair? Send a message to [email protected] from the account’s own address, start the subject with the word Appeal, and tell us your side. A person reads every appeal. The community guidelines are the rulebook moderators work from, and the contact page lists what else support can help with.

Keep the message factual: roughly when the decision landed, what you were doing on Chatingly at the time, and why you think it misread the situation. Arguing with the moderator’s tone rarely helps; explaining the context usually does.

Reporting and rules FAQ

Q01How do I report someone on Chatingly?

Press the report button inside the call or live room. The session lands with moderators, and you are free to hit next right away.

Q02What happens after I report someone on Chatingly?

A moderator reviews the session and may warn, restrict or remove the account. Every report is looked at by a person.

Q03What gets you banned on Chatingly?

Being underage, showing nudity to people who did not agree, harassment, hate, threats, blackmail recordings, scams, spam and fake accounts.

Q04Will the person know I reported them?

Reports go to Chatingly moderators, not to the person you reported.

Q05How do I appeal a ban on Chatingly?

Write to [email protected] from the email on your account, label the subject Appeal, and give your version of events.

Q06Is Chatingly for adults only?

Yes. Chatingly is strictly 18+, and accounts that appear underage are removed.

Q07Can I block someone on Chatingly?

Pressing next ends a random match straight away, and reporting flags the person to moderators. Random matching then moves you on to new people.

Q08Are Chatingly live rooms moderated too?

Yes. The same rules apply in live rooms, and each room has its own report button.

Q09A match asked me to send money. Is that allowed on Chatingly?

Do not pay, report the account and press next. Nobody on Chatingly needs a transfer or a gift card from you, and coins are only ever bought on the top-up screen.

Q10Could a gift or call on Chatingly cost me coins by accident?

Not without your say-so. A paid call never begins in the background, a low balance brings up the top-up screen first, and each gift waits for your confirmation.
