The Chatingly app is one tap from your home screen.

People search for the Chatingly app expecting a download button. Chatingly works differently: it is a web app, which means the full product (random video, voice and text matching, the online list, live rooms, messages, coins) runs inside Safari, Chrome or any current browser. Your first match needs no installation at all.

You can still have a Chatingly icon on your phone. Browsers let you pin a web app to the home screen, and once it is there it opens full screen, hides the address bar and feels much like anything you got from a store. Updates arrive on their own because the app is always loaded fresh from chatingly.online.

Apple only allows this from Safari, so start there even if you normally use another browser.

• Open chatingly.online in Safari.
• Tap the Share icon, the square with an arrow pointing up.
• Scroll the sheet and choose Add to Home Screen.
• Leave the name as Chatingly, tap Add, and look for the new icon among your apps.
• Launch it from the icon the first time and allow the camera and microphone when iOS asks.

Chrome handles this on most Android phones, and Samsung Internet offers the same option under a slightly different label.

• Open chatingly.online in Chrome.
• Open Chrome’s menu, the three stacked dots up in the corner.
• Tap Install app. Older Chrome versions call the same thing Add to Home screen.
• Confirm the prompt. Chatingly now sits on the home screen, and in the app drawer on most phones.

Opening Chatingly from the icon gives you a cleaner screen, since the browser toolbar disappears and the video gets the full height of the phone. Everything else is identical to the browser version: the three matching modes, the translate button on typed messages, the Reward Center countdown, the Live tab and private one-to-one calls. Sign in once inside the pinned app and your balance, VIP status and settings are there whether you open Chatingly from the icon, from a browser tab or from a laptop later on.

Most problems come down to permissions. On iPhone, go to Settings, find Safari and make sure the camera and microphone are allowed; on Android, long-press the Chatingly icon, open app info and check the same two switches. Close any meeting app that might still be holding the camera, then reopen Chatingly.

Because nothing is installed, the Chatingly icon takes up almost no room on your phone. Video matching does use mobile data, so Wi-Fi is kinder to your plan on long nights. Voice and text modes use far less, which makes them a good fit on a patchy connection.

Once pinned, the Chatingly icon behaves like every other one on your phone. Press and hold to drag it into a folder, tuck it onto a second page, or delete it. Deleting the icon only removes the shortcut; your account, coins and messages stay exactly where they were, and you can pin Chatingly again from the browser whenever you want.
